 Hrafnhildur Halldórsdóttir

Hrafnhildur Halldórsdóttir is an artist, dj and graphic designer living and working in Glasgow, Scotland.

Her work is about negotiation of circumstances, physical, material and emotional and in its essence it’s about compromising as a way of surviving. This goes for both the actual process of making the work and the con-ceptual base for it.

It can be sparse in its expression yet it is endlessly detailed and in the detail you find evidence of time spent, time gone by and as such the process is laid bare to be viewed as the actual expression and not a means to an end.

With a varied choice of materials this sculptural work generally retains a handmade quality and uses a variety of textile materials alongside found or pre-fabricated objects to make large space-specic installations.
