Þorbjörg Halldórsdóttir lives and works in Hali Suðursveit, Iceland.
She is very nostalgic and likes to invite people to small trips to the past, preferably by appealing to all senses. Her creative approach works with memory and nature. Despite reusing old familiar objects, she offers new possibilities.
One of her latest exhibition 30% wool – 70% plastic, designed with textile and plastic installations and a sound installation made from bubble wrap, was an event that lead to many other unexpected events. Under the influence of that dynamic, Þorbjörg wants to further explore the possibilities with these materials.
